Obituary for Frank G. Del Prete

Frank G. Del Prete, Jr., 90, of West Caldwell, died on April 13, 2018.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 pm in the Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday 10 am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Roseland, NJ, with interment to follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, NJ.

Frank was born in Paterson and has been a resident of West Caldwell since 1955. He graduated from Seton Hall University in 1950 with a BS in Business Administration. During World War II, he honorably served in the US Army. He was actively involved in the tile, marble, granite industry for over 60 years. Frank was Executive Vice President with Wilkinson and Company in Paterson, Senior Vice President in consulting and sales at Port Morris Tile and Marble Corporation in the Bronx, and Senior Vice President with Stone Truss Systems, Inc. in Fairfield. He was associated with the Marble Institute of America, The Building Stone Institute, The National Terrazzo and Mosaic Institute, The National Tile Contractors Association and The International Masonry Institute.
Frank was an active member and daily communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Roseland. He was a member of the Association of Knights and Ladies Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in New York, holding the title of Knight Commander.

Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Angela. He was also predeceased by his brother Robert J. Del Prete and sister Marietta Krannich. Surviving are his beloved children, Rev. Msgr. Frank Del Prete III and Andrea Del Prete and her partner Charles Tubbs; his granddaughters Lauren (Steven) Cilento, Denise (Nicholas) Eck, and Amy (Anthony) Ottaino; his 5 great-grandchildren, his sister in law, Frances Del Prete, and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was a major figure in the rearing of his three granddaughters and was known to them as their Papa-Daddy."
