Obituary for Anthony S. Zotti

Anthony S. Zotti, beloved father and grandfather, passed away on January 4 in the home of family in Wharton NJ. He was 84.

Born and raised in Summit, he raised his family in Nutley and then in Roseland before residing in Verona.

Tony was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He served during the Korean War as an Aviation Electronic Technician with squadron VC-4 and aboard the U.S.S. Tarawa. After the Navy, he went on to graduate from Newark College of Engineering (NCE) in 1958. He met his wife, Elaine, at the NCE Dance Club and was married in 1957.

Tony enjoyed his entire career at Allied-Bendix in Teterboro NJ as an electrical engineer before retiring in 1994.

In retirement he enjoyed the company of his many good friends, his family and especially his 10 grandchildren. He took yearly trips to Vero Beach, FL where he enjoyed playing golf, the beach and good friends.

His other interests were with the Drum and Bugle Corp. He was also was an avid reader, loved to cook and listen to classical music. Tony is remembered for his very big, friendly, loving, personality and zest for life. We have been blessed to have him in our lives and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Mark of Lake Hiawatha, Paul and wife, Ellen of Roseland, Jeanne D''Alessio and husband, Bart of Wharton, Michael of Lake Hiawatha, Bob and his wife, Cathy of Livingston, grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Joanna, Victoria, Jeremy, Julia, Patrick, Shannon, Aidan, Liam, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Elaine Jago Zotti in 2010 and his parents, Salvatore Zotti in 1952 and Victoria Zotti in 1982.

Funeral services were conducted by the Farmer Funeral Home in Roseland.
