Condolences

Condolence From: Leonard Alex, Jr.
Condolence: Where does any one begin when their great grandmother, grandmother, mother, aunt, or cousin dies? How does anyone say goodbye to them on their final day? That’s really not a tough question when you have ladies in a family as great as I have, and some of you have known, too. Who are they, and what do I possibly mean?
Their names are Anna, Anne, Nancy Anne, Lorraine, Lorie, Dawn.
Anna married a flower grower and flower show judge sought by George Widener, Jr. of the Widener Estate. Her husband took care of the Widener Estate in Pennsylvania (now Erdenheim Farm) during the earlier half of the 20th Century. Their daughter Anne grew up on the Widener Estate. Anne married an Atwater-Kent radio salesman she met while working at Penn State U., who started his own real estate and insurance company with her. Their oldest daughter Lorraine met and married a handsome man from Newark, NJ who worked for an insurance company. Probably no coincidence to Lorraine.
William L. Smart and Lorraine lived happily after, and had five wonderful and successful children named William, Steven, Edward James, Lori Ann, and Amy. And I am very proud to know each of them, as I believe Lorraine – and God - want us know.
I feel very fortunate to have spent so much time with my beautiful Aunt Lorraine, who in fact was voted by her high school class to be just that, The Most Beautiful in her senior high class. (See for yourself in the Photo Section here.)
I will never forget her patience and ability to listen before she spoke, her smile, the sound of her sweet voice, and the respect that she always gave me!
God Bless You, Aunt Lorraine!

Condolence From: Carole Volz
Condolence: God bless you Aunt Lorraine. You will be forever missed. We are so fortunate to have had all our cousins and families grow up in Roseland together and be not just family but friends. I cherish my childhood memories spending times in your home with the our families together. Your home was our home and our home was your home. You were a great mom. I'm so very fortunate to have such amazing cousins. I love them all. May love and peace surround you always.
